What the bible says about dating unbelievers
The most important relationship to a Christian should be their relationship with Jesus Christ. Every other relationship is secondary, and not to be put before our Lord, God.If a Christian decides to marry an unbeliever, one has to ask whether or not he or she is choosing to ignore what God says about being unequally yoked.Like the oxen pulling in different directions, a couple who doesn't share a Godly foundation will clash and experience conflict.Perhaps you're not convinced yet, and you wonder, Even well-meaning Christians can fall into the trap of marrying non-believers.
The same is true of two people who marry but don't share a common faith.A mature Christian woman dating a spiritually immature man: This may or may not worry you but consider the fact that the bible says the man should be the spiritual leader in a relationship.Spiritual maturity does not come overnight unlikely that a new Christian man could lead a mature Christian woman. This isn’t to say that unbelievers can’t be good people, but I am saying I’d discourage you from dating someone who isn’t on the same spiritual foundation as you. It’s going to mess you up, confuse your heart, and potentially smother your soul.
To make things trickier still, some non-Christians have higher morals, and are more faithful and understanding than their fellow Christians.
